Bakery Gateau is a Korean Bakeshop based in Toronto, Canada with over 20 years in experience. Our bakery is women lead and women owned. We are passionate about creating quality authentic Korean breads and cakes. Our bakers work in the early morning to prepare the baked goods for the day. We hope to share our knowledge of baking and provide a positive work environment! Baker
What we look for:
- Passion for bread and pastries or cake decorating experience
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and commitment to the team
- Commitment to work for at least 1 year
- 1 year experience in baking or keen interest in baking
- Fast learner and able to fulfill production timelines
Your Role:
- Learn quickly and efficiently
- Have an eye for detail
- Produce quality bread with the help our your peers
- Lift heavy loads 25lbs+
- Work early morning shifts
- Daily sanitation
Cashier
What we look for:
- Passion for customer service and helping others
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and commitment to the team
- Commitment to work for at least 1 year
- 1-2 years experience in retail and sales
Your Role:
- Enthusiastic about serving customers
- Enjoys the hustle and bustle of a bakery. Able to work in a face paced environment
- Positive attitude and willing to learn!
- Operate all aspects of the register, including cash and card transactions, scanners, and scales
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer, ensuring that all transactions are accounted for by the end of the shift
- Package goods and display on racks in a timely manner
- Answer any customer inquiries, and use your knowledge of product layout and product content to give directions as needed
- Manage and organize deliveries schedule
- Recording inventory and replenish when necessary
- Maintain a clean work environment, keeping register clear for incoming customers
- Other duties as requested
